This is a fervent appeal for you to support a reputed charitable non-government organization that will complete 50 years of service on 18 November 2024. A milestone of a golden era during which the first school for children with cerebral palsy grew to a national resource centre for disability. IICP serves all age groups and persons with cerebral palsy and other disabilities irrespective of degree of disability, caste, creed, gender or social-economic status. It works in affiliation with organisations working in Kolkata and West Bengal, and in a dozen states in India. Using a model of reverse inclusion, IICP’s services are open to non-disabled children and adults from extremely disadvantaged groups categorized as low income/ ‘below poverty line’. Its services include an Early Intervention Clinic, Family Services, School Services, Adult Services, Community Based Services and a Residential Centre. Almost 40% of beneficiaries belong to low income groups; subsidized but high-quality services are offered to ALL by a qualified, sensitive and experienced team of 150 special educators, subject teachers, therapists, social workers and caregivers.
IICP has been able to serve a very excluded and marginalized group only with the partnership of donors- both individual and corporate. Your funds will be used to support individuals with disability directly, and indirectly by strengthening the infrastructure of human and material resources
Help us raise funds for our specific needs.
