Swapnopuron Welfare Society runs the only English-medium school in the rural Sundarbans to bring the children into the light of education. The school follows a syllabus that is in line with the CBSE curriculum. Currently, the schools are not affiliated with the CBSE board. Swapnopuron Shiksha Niketan provides education from Nursery to Class XI.
More than 850 students are currently enrolled across six schools on different islands. The main school at Jora Bottola, Hingalganj (400+ students) and five branch schools on five islands of the Sundarbans: Bena (135 students), Choto Shahebkhali (78 students), Kalitala (135 students), Ganesh Mondal (105 students), and Shamshernagar (55 students).
To secure CBSE affiliation and ensure a seamless educational journey for our students, we must complete the 2nd floor of our school building according to CBSE requirements. This endeavor requires financial support, and we would like your help raising funds amounting to 25 lakh rupees for this purpose.
